Emma White
“These paintings all consist of a melding of outside and inside locations. They combine natural forms with imagery of grids, fabric, and metal edges to create an experience for the viewer that is not clearly a single time or place. Rather than an accurate depiction of an experience, they are more reminiscent of a memory or feeling associated with that experience.”
Emma White is a graduate of the Queen’s Fine Art program, specializing in oil painting. Her paintings generally revolve around the concept of Wilderness, and the impression humans leave on any given location. She has most recently exhibited with Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto (MOCA), Arta Gallery, and Warbling Collective in England. She currently lives and works in Toronto.
